How We Met
We met while at the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana. Jenna was a third year Veterinary student and I worked in the Athletic Department. Shortly after we started dating, we were sitting at an intersection we both went through daily. Jenna noticed my truck. We wondered how many times we had crossed paths without knowing it! A few months after we started dating, Jenna went home for her sister's Medical School graduation, and her birthday (which she shares with her mom, too). I surprised her and flew out to Boston for my first of what would be many trips (and counting).
The Proposal
Jenna and I had been dating for a little over a year when I proposed. I planned the proposal for when both of our families would be in Champaign for her graduation. That weekend, I kept on disappearing trying to finish the video I was making. I told her it was a "graduation video", knowing full well I wouldn't be able to keep the whole thing a secret. When she finally saw her "graduation video", she was surprised, and very excited. Me too, of course!
